Who we are

We are a registered 501(c)(3) Christian Ministry and Transitional Workforce Development Center designed exclusively for men. Our mission is to end homelessness, reduce recidivism, and eradicate dependency through a men's program targeted at personal development producing good habits, work ethic, and character. Our goal is to help these men become self-sufficient and productive, tax-paying members of society by obtaining full-time employment and a non-subsidized place to live.

MINISTRY WITH A PURPOSE . . .

The ministry of NGW is developed around a work-based approach to combat homelessness, recidivism, and dependency, taking full advantage of Gainesville's vibrant economy. By forging partnerships with local businesses, NGW helps its program participants integrate into the workforce, providing not only a job but a means to self-sufficiency and dignity.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

WORK & HOUSING

Our unique approach centers on a staffing model which provides immediate work opportunities and housing for the men we serve. Participants enrolled in NGW are assigned to work in various industries in partnership with local businesses. This staffing model provides participants with consistent, steady employment, the foundational step in their journey toward self-sufficiency.

LIFE SKILLS & RECOVERY SUPPORT

Beyond providing job opportunities, NGW also includes comprehensive training that addresses the underlying causes of homelessness, recidivism, and dependency. This involves a year-long life skills curriculum and education, a focus on the development of true self-worth, and most importantly, intensive recovery support.

MENTORING & SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

NGW participants receive a dedicated mentor to provide encouragement and Christ-centered guidance necessary for long-term restoration and stability. We believe that guiding our men towards embracing a life of faith stands as a fundamental cornerstone to transformation, providing them the necessary pathway to overcome their past mistakes, ultimately paving the way for a permanent transformation.

AFTERCARE SUPPORT

Once a participant graduates from NGW, they are moved immediately into our aftercare program. This program is intentionally set up to address the continued need for support and community for our graduates. The level of support offered is comprehensive and includes access to a full-time Aftercare Specialist, stable housing opportunities, assistance in the purchase of vehicles, a mandated continuation of recovery support, emergency financial assistance, and most critical, ongoing accountability with all other graduates, mentors, and staff of NGW.
